Who we are
This policy describes how Tax Alpha ("Tax Alpha", "we", "us") handles information collected through our website at taxalpha.us and through advertising campaigns we run on LinkedIn. Tax Alpha is an early stage product team and is not currently incorporated as a registered legal entity. If our entity status changes, we will update this page.
For any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@taxalpha.us.
Information we collect
From our website waitlist form
When you request beta access on taxalpha.us, we collect:
- Your name
- Firm or company name
- Work email address
- Professional role (CPA, EA, tax preparer, financial advisor, other)
- Topics you are interested in
From the optional feedback prompt
If you choose to answer our optional question about your biggest tax planning headache, we store your response together with the email address you provided.
From LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms
We run advertising campaigns on LinkedIn. Some of those campaigns use LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms, which are filled out directly inside LinkedIn rather than on our website. When you submit a Lead Gen Form, LinkedIn shares the fields you confirm with us, typically:
- Name
- Email address
- Job title
- Company name
- Country or region
- Any custom question responses included in that campaign
LinkedIn's own privacy policy governs how LinkedIn collects and processes that information before it reaches us.
Analytics and advertising tools
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag to measure the performance of our LinkedIn ad campaigns and to build audiences for retargeting. These tools may set cookies and collect:
- Pages viewed and time on page
- Referring site and campaign source
- Approximate location derived from IP address
- Device, browser, and operating system
- Whether you converted on our waitlist form
How we use information
- To respond to beta access requests and send beta invitations.
- To send occasional product updates related to Tax Alpha.
- To improve the product based on the feedback you share.
- To measure the effectiveness of our marketing, including LinkedIn ad performance, and to show relevant ads to similar professionals.
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and misuse of the site.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
How information is stored
Waitlist submissions and feedback responses are stored in our managed backend database, which is operated by Lovable Cloud on top of Supabase infrastructure. Access is restricted to the Tax Alpha team and is protected by access controls and authentication.
Leads from LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms are accessed through LinkedIn's Campaign Manager and may be exported to the same backend for follow-up.
How long we keep it
We retain personal information collected through the demo scheduling form for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Specifically: If you become a Tax Alpha customer, your contact information is retained for the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping purposes.
If you do not become a customer, we retain your information for up to three (3) years from your initial inquiry to allow for future outreach, unless you request deletion earlier.
Email communication records are retained in accordance with our internal data management policies.
You may request deletion of your information at any time by emailing us at support@taxalpha.us.
Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the site and our outreach, including:
- Lovable Cloud and Supabase for backend hosting and database storage.
- Google Analytics for website usage measurement.
- LinkedIn for advertising delivery, conversion tracking, and Lead Gen Forms.
- Email delivery providers used to send beta invitations and updates.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tax Alpha, our users, or others.
Cookies and tracking
The site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement. Google Analytics loads when you first visit so we can understand site usage; you can opt out anytime through the cookie settings banner or by clearing cookies for taxalpha.us and reloading the site. Marketing cookies (LinkedIn Insight Tag) are only used with your explicit consent. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using the official browser add-on, and adjust LinkedIn ad preferences from your LinkedIn account settings.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Confirm what information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Delete your information from our systems.
- Unsubscribe from product or marketing emails at any time.
To make a request, email support@taxalpha.us from the address you used to sign up. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email to anyone on the waitlist before they take effect.
